Breaking and Training Facilities

There are many training centers in North America that are recognized as training facilities and provide official workouts. There are many more farms or training centers that board, start or break and train racehorses at different levels of training from very early “starting” in saddle and bridle with light galloping to the more advanced stage of timed workouts and gate training to ready a horse for the racetrack. Training centers generally reflect a more relaxed atmosphere than the quick pace of the racetrack environment.
Some training facilities include a large enough track and advanced training that a horse can be prepped for a race from that location. Most will graduate to the racetrack for final preparations.
