The Horsemen's Journal is the official publication of the National Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). For the latest messages from the President and CEO to medication/horse health updates and industry and HBPA affiliate news, The Horsemen's Journal is your source for the information that matters most to the Thoroughbred industry. On each racetrack across the county there is a horsemen’s organization that represents the owners and trainers that run at their track. The National HBPA is the largest of those horsemen’s organizations. All our members, over 30,000, are currently involved in the sport, whether it is strictly as owners, owner-breeders or trainers of Thoroughbred racehorses. The National HBPA, originally established in 1940, is dedicated to protecting the rights and providing assistance to racehorse owners and trainers while striving to achieve our motto of "Horsemen Helping Horsemen."
