Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society - Manitoba

Founded in 1906, the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) was incorporated under the Animal Pedigree Act as the official registry of Thoroughbred horses in Canada.
The CTHS (Manitoba Division) and its membership are a major part of the agriculture community in Manitoba - our goal is to ensure a viable future for our members by providing assistance and developing programs to ensure that future.

Carter Sales Company

The OKC SUMMER SALE Yearlings & Horses of Racing Age will be held SUNDAY AUGUST 16 

 

 

The OKC Summer Sale on August 17 set records in all areas.  It was the highest grossing sale with a new record sales topper and the highest average since the sale started in 2007.

Hip 10 a Tiz Wonderful colt out of the Cherokee Run mare Serena Ballerina, topped the sale at
$67,000.  Shawn Schabel of Independence, Kansas, purchased the Oklahoma-bred colt from Brewster Ranch, agent for Clark O. Brewster. 

ATBA Fall Yearling & Mixed Sale

 

The ATBA with its annual Yearling and Fall Mixed Sale has established a well-known public market place, where many stakes winning and stakes producing Thoroughbreds have been sold. 

       Sale Date:  Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

ATBA also sponsors the annual Spring and Fall Sales Stakes for graduates of its annual Fall Mixed Sale held in October. 

Heritage Place

Located in Oklahoma City, Heritage Place offers Thoroughbreds and Quarter horses at auction. They conduct a mixed sale of Thoroughbreds of all ages in the fall and winter. 

 

 

Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Sales

The Indiana Thoroughbred Owner’s and Breeder’s Association (ITOBA) was established to protect the Indiana Horsemen and represent their collective voice when policy changes are being proposed or enforced.  ITOBA is affiliated with the National Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA), and works closely with local regulatory and legislative groups such as the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, The Indiana Thoroughbred Breed Development Program, The Horse Protection and Benevolence Association (HPBA), as well as other various government officials and representatives.

Iowa Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association

The Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association (ITBOA) is a non-profit organization responsible for promoting the breeding and racing of Thoroughbreds in Iowa. The ITBOA currently represents nearly 500 Iowa-bred owners and breeders and is active in a variety of Thoroughbred programs. The ITBOA FALL SALE in October annually offers 60 to 80 yearlings.  We also conduct a stallion season auction in December.            

Minnesota Thoroughbred Association

The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association was incorporated in 1971. Our association is comprised of breeders, owners, trainers and race fans, who are a vital part of Minnesota’s Thoroughbred racing industry on a daily basis. Our mission is to promote, educate and support Thoroughbred breeding, ownership and racing in Minnesota and around the country.

The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association holds an annual Yearling and Mixed Sale, with Minnesota-breds Preferred, each August. Minnesota-bred Yearlings are given priority, followed by non-Minnesota-bred yearlings, and older horses.

Ruidoso Horse Sale Company

Beginning with the first sale that was held in 1958, the Ruidoso Horse Sale Company has had year after year of some of the top horses in the industry sold.

In 2014, the Thoroughbred portion of the New Mexico-bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs continued the upward trend set the by the quarter horse session with thoroughbred yearlings showing a 12.7 percent increase per horse sold on Saturday night.

The thoroughbred yearlings averaged $9,233 per horse sold compared to $8,194 per horse sold in 2013.
