Testimony
Best Experience as an Owner:
Banned winning the 2011 Del Mar Derby, Glen Hill Farm's 3rd win in the race, and having my Grandfather in the winners circle with me.
What I like about Thoroughbred Racing:
There is no feeling like being part of the development of a good horse. It makes the downs of the business and the game almost worth it.
How I Became a Thoroughbred Owner:
My Grandfather
Best Advice:
Hire very good people to work for you. Don't try to hire a new best friend. Set goals for the horse business, and set measurables as you would in any business. Ask for & accept total honesty about the ability of your horses.
Owner Bio

Glen Hill Farm is a thoroughbred breeding and racing operation based in Ocala, Florida. Our goal is to breed, raise, and race horses that compete and win at the highest levels of the thoroughbred business. Leonard and Bernice Lavin bought their first horse in 1966, and the first foal was born at Glen Hill Farm in 1971. We have bred or raced over 80 stakes winners, including One Dreamer, Relaunch, Convenience, Top Rung, Concept Win, Repriced, Rich in Spirit, Closeout, Banned, Marketing Mix, Wishing Gate, and others. In 2008, Craig Bernick took over as President and COO, working closely with his grandfather.
