Biography: 

Courtney Reid is the Director of Racing and Industry Relations for Breeders’ Cup Limited. Assisting Executive Vice President and Chief Racing Officer Dora Delgado, Courtney manages the racing programs and industry related matters for Breeders’ Cup through communication with horsemen, racetracks, regulators and sales companies. She is responsible for the promotion and management of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series and Dirt Dozen Program, in conjunction with recruiting horses for the World Championships. Additionally, Courtney is responsible for the racing related content in the Breeders’ Cup souvenir track program.

A native of Williamsburg, Va., she graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree from Liberty University in public health. In 2017, she attended the Racing Officials Accreditation Program (ROAP) and become an accredited steward. Before joining the Breeders’ Cup team full time in 2019, Courtney previously worked for the National Steeplechase Association and the Virginia Racing Commission.

Courtney enjoys cooking, reading, playing tennis, and traveling in her free time.
