Greg Wolf grew up in the Bay Area, but was always a fan of UCLA basketball, which led him to choose Westwood for college. It was there he began working on the campus radio station doing play by play for Bruin sports he realized he wanted to be a sports broadcaster.
After graduating, Greg interned at the CBS station in Fresno, before moving on to Fox Sports as a writer for the network’s national prime-time sports show. From there, he landed a job when TVG launched in the summer of 1999.
Greg came to the job with no background in horse racing, yet this actually proved to be an asset. The network wanted someone who could relate to the novice racing fan, someone who could anticipate the basic questions and answer them in layman’s terms. Greg made himself a student of the sport, learning on the fly, eventually becoming a solid handicapper himself. He's gone on to anchor various programs for Fox Sports Net, including "The Final Score."
He's currently an anchor with the newly launched 24-hour sports channel Fox Sports 1, working on the networks flagship highlight show, hosting studio MLB and college basketball, as well as the anchor of the networks Jockey Club Tour on Fox series.
