
Jack & Laurie Wolf began Starlight Racing in 2000 and in 2004 were joined by Donald and Barbara Lucarelli. Jack and Donnie are the co-managing partners of Starlight Racing and Laurie and Barbara are the co-managing partners of their relatively new all-female and all-fillies partnership, StarLadies Racing.
With one of the most sparkling records in the sport, the Starlight Racing team has achieved success in the elite Grade I sphere for more than a decade. This accomplishment reflects Starlight’s primary goal: competing and winning at the highest level, year after year. Starlight horses compete across the globe, from Kentucky and New York to Florida and California, and overseas in Dubai. The successes include:

Starlight’s list of stable stars includes two-time Eclipse Award winner and 2014 Hall of Fame inductee Ashado, 2012 undefeated 2-year-old champion Shanghai Bobby, and the standout colt who started it all, Harlan’s Holiday. We’re also proud of the accomplishments of Take the Points, Purge, Monba, Keyed Entry, Hilda’s Passion, Algorithms and Intense Holiday.
Our team also includes six-time Eclipse Award-winning and Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Todd Pletcher and accomplished bloodstock agent Frank Brothers.
Jack Wolf is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and he worked as a college professor and then hedge fund manager with Columbus Partners in Atlanta before retiring in 2000 to concentrate on racing. Jack also orchestrated the launch of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), the industry's first broad-based initiative dedicated to helping retired Thoroughbreds, and he serves as board president of the TAA. Jack and his wife Laurie reside in Louisville and Saratoga Springs, New York.
