Laurie Wolf and her husband Jack combined their passion for racing by founding Starlight Racing in 2000 with purchasing several yearlings in the Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland Sales. They had immediate success with one of their first purchases a colt, by Harlan, later named Harlan's Holiday. They continued their success with more Grade 1 Winners which have included, Ashado, Octave, Purge, Take the Points, Monba, Hilda's Passion and Shanghai Bobby. In 2013, Laurie formed with her partner Barbara Lucarelli, an all women's racing group named, Starladies Racing.
In addition to a passion for racing Laurie also believes in giving back to the industry. She has been on the board of The Race for Education and currently sits on the board of The Backside Learning Center at Churchill Downs.
