Biography:
Rick Gold is a semi-retired Silicon Valley entrepreneur. He and his wife Marcia now live in San Diego where they’ve been indulging their love of horse racing as fans, horseplayers and owners. They race and breed Thoroughbreds in California, Australia and New Zealand, and have campaigned more than 20 stakes winners. Rick has served on the boards of the Thoroughbred Owners of California (where he chaired the Integrity and Safety Committee), California Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Foundation, Racing Medication and Testing Consortium, and the HISA Horsemen’s Advisory Group. He received the 2024 TOC Chairman’s Award for contributions to the racing industry.
