Shona Rotondo

Biography: 

Shona Rotondo is a lifelong equestrian with a background in marketing and communications. A Boston University graduate, Shona spent over a decade in agency roles navigating the evolution of social and digital marketing for companies like Reebok, IBM, and PPG. In 2016 she co-founded Grand Slam Social LLC (GSS), a boutique social media agency that focuses on marketing strategies for horse racing and equestrian brands. Since its inception, GSS has grown to develop strong relationships with businesses that touch every aspect of the horse racing industry including breeding, sales, racing and TV for clients including NBC Sports, Fasig-Tipton, Woodford Thoroughbreds and the Breeders' Cup World Championships. 

As the Head of Marketing at MyRacehorse, Shona focuses on overall positioning, strategy, and execution of customer acquisition, sales and CRM while managing paid, earned and owned media efforts. She also contributes to global marketing initiatives designed to create a consistent brand experience in new regions like Australia, UK and Ireland. Shona assists with MyRacehorse partnership discussions and the development of deals with events, tracks and other partners.

Outside of the office, you can find Shona at the barn riding, spending time with her young daughter (a horse racing fanatic in the making!) or at the racetrack playing the ponies.
