About Us:

Founded in 1939, O’Sullivan Farms is West Virginia’s oldest and largest Thoroughbred breeding farm. Located in the northern Shenandoah Valley on fertile limestone soil once owned by the family of George Washington, O’Sullivan Farms has a long tradition of breeding, raising and racing quality horses.

Our staff is experienced and dedicated, allowing us to offer our clients a wide range of services including boarding, breeding, breaking, training, pedigree analysis, stallion syndication, and racing partnerships.

Our quality racing stable specializes in training young horses to become allowance and stakes winners. O’Sullivan Farms bred, raised and sold My Sister Margaret, winner of the 2009 $500,000 WVBC Cavada Stakes, making O’Sullivan Farms the winning breeder of this race in three of the last four years.

For 70 years, family owned and operated O’Sullivan Farms has set the standard for the West Virginia Thoroughbred industry. If you want your horses to be treated as quality individuals and given the utmost in experienced care, please contact us.
