Family: Wife Yvette and sons, Wesley and Cole

Dallas Stewart added to his ever growing success as a trainer with a stunning second-place finish in the Kentucky Derby with Charles Fipke’s GOLDEN SOUL who had recently placed in the G3 Lecompte Stakes at the Fair Grounds.

Dallas Stewart started career as exercise rider for Connie Tassisto at New Orleans Fair Grounds at his teens.  He worked under Randy Bradshaw, Mark Hennig and spent 12 years working for of Hall Of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas and was responsible for such champions as Lady's Secret, Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch and Serena's Song.

Taking out trainer s license in 1985, is first victory that year came with a horse named End Display at the historic Fair Grounds.  Stewart established his own stable in 1997 in Kentucky and at Fair Grounds. His family was greatly affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005.

Dallas Stewart is a constant fixture on the Kentucky, Louisiana and New York racing circuits and won the 2000 training title at Keeneland. Stewart has saddled two Kentucky Derby horses in his career with his best placing coming from Kimberlite Pipe's sixth place finish in 1999. He also trained 2006 Kentucky Oaks winner Lemon's Forever and 2001 Breeders' Cup Distaff (now known as the Ladies Classic) winner Unbridled Elaine.  Other top stakes horses he has conditioned include Dollar Bill, Macho Again, and

In 2000, Dallas won his first training title at Keeneland's Spring meet.  He has also saddled eight horses in Breeders' Cup races including winning the Distaff (now Ladies' Classic) with Unbridled Elaine on the way to making her a $3.8 million earner.  In 2008, his three year old Macho Again (Macho Uno) finished second in the Preakness and a year later won the G1 Stephen Foster Handicap and G2 New Orleans Handicap.  Macho Again was also a fast closing second in the G1 Woodward Stakes behind eventual Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra.  Lemons Forever provided Dallas a landmark moment when she rallied from last place to win the 2006 Kentucky Oaks and later in the year competed in the Breeders' Cup Distaff.

Dallas manages his string of about 40 horses between the Fair Grounds and Churchill Downs and continues to compete at the highest levels as he did in 2010 with Seeking the Title when she won the G3 Iowa Oaks and finishing second in the G3 Monmouth Oaks and third in the G2 Fair Grounds Oaks.
