PVH provides specialized care for the sport horse through our Equine Performance Sports Medicine Institute. The Institute’s goals are to provide a thorough, accurate and timely diagnosis of performance-limiting conditions in the equine athlete, and to devise a custom treatment plan to allow for recovery of the injury and maintenance of soundness afterward. PVH veterinarians and staff are proud to partner with our clients to keep horses healthy, happy and performing at their best.
The PVH equine department offers: wellness and preventive medicine; dentistry; internal medicine; advanced surgical services (colic, orthopedic, soft-tissue, laser and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures); lameness treatment; joint therapy; pre-purchase exams; Reproduction Center; geriatric care; regenerative medicine (PRP, stem cells, IRAP); Integrative Medicine Center (acupuncture, chiropractic, herbology, rehabilitation); and advanced diagnostics (MRI, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, direct access to nuclear scintigraphy).
With a seven-stall ICU, neonatal unit and four isolation stalls designed for around-the-clock observation, PVH offers the high level of attentive monitoring and responsive nursing care only a 24-hour facility can provide.
